With the success of the original design, Dave’s Tangle Free has engineered a new design — built to bring a new technical advantage to the lead-free sinker market. Dave’s stick weights are lead-free with numerous advantages. These weights are made of uncoated stainless steel, with a moving swivel up-top to provide telegraphic sensitivity with the energy of steel. This design speaks to the legacy of pencil-lead and slinkys, but with increased sensitivity and the energy of steel. This means that drop-shot, drift, bobber-dog, float and bottom-bouncing techniques can be accomplished with these new snag- and tangle-resistant fishing weights.
Tungsten, lead and tin are all used often in the fishing world. But lead is notorious for snagging the bottom, tungsten can be highly expensive and tin doesn’t have the mass to get down. These stainless steel stick weights offer a major advantage over all three. The “pinball effect” ensures that the weight will keep ticking bottom and moving in a current, but will also get down quickly and stay in still water.
